Charles Lathrem
President & Founder, Lathrem Homebuilders
As the owner and founder of Lathrem Homebuilders, Charles Lathrem is the driving force behind the business that is his namesake. A real estate entrepreneur with a natural passion for building and an eye for detail, Lathrem is the fourth generation of his family to enter the construction business. Born and raised in Tucson, he was intrigued with business and real estate from a young age, fulfilling the "American dream" by purchasing his first home at age 18. This house soon became Lathrem's number one hobby.
Today, Lathrem continues to sharpen his craft with a focus on quality homes. He has moved beyond home improvements and "fixer-uppers" to build "bigger and better homes" for an increasingly discerning clientele in Southern Arizona. In 1997, he founded Lathrem Homebuilders after years working in the business as a sub-contractor specializing in insulated concrete forms. Immediately prior to taking the helm at Lathrem, he was a partner in Alternative Building Creations, a firm he founded in 1995 to introduce innovative products to the construction marketplace. Earlier in his career, Lathrem also worked as a realtor.
Lathrem attended the University of Arizona, where he studied Real Estate and Finance. He currently resides in Tucson (in a Lathrem home, naturally) with his wife Kristin and their young son, Ethan. Now that homebuilding has become his full-time profession, Lathrem spends his spare time enjoying other "hands-on" activities including travel, competitive sports and parenting.
